Before a pumpkin-patch day or fall-break drive, check the snacks you already have. If you need to restock, three BOGO offers at Publix Holland Point can make a $13.47 basket before tax—with enough left for another outing.
- Store checked: Publix Holland Point, Buford, GA 30519.
- Offer dates: October 7–13, 2026. Do not use these prices after October 13 without rechecking.
- Basket: two apple bags, two pretzel bags and two specified fruit-snack boxes.
- Calculation: $4.99 + $5.19 + $3.29 = $13.47 before tax.
- No extra coupon assumed: the total uses the displayed BOGO offers only.
These are the selected store’s displayed prices, not nationwide Publix prices or a stock guarantee. The basket is a suggestion, not a claim that these are the cheapest groceries anywhere.
What goes in the basket?
| Specific eligible item | Buy for this example | BOGO total | Effective unit cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hero Snack-Sized Gala Apples, 2-lb bag | 2 bags / 4 lb | $4.99 | About $1.25/lb |
| Snyder’s of Hanover Mini Pretzels, 16-oz bag | 2 bags / 32 oz | $5.19 | About 16.2¢/oz |
| Betty Crocker Assorted Fruit Flavored Snacks, 10 × 0.8-oz pouches per box | 2 boxes / 20 pouches / 16 oz | $3.29 | About 16.5¢/pouch or 20.6¢/oz |
Calculations assume two identical eligible packages at the displayed price. The promotion makes the equal- or lower-priced item free. Tax, substitutions and a different product size can change the final receipt.
A useful detail: the apple ad says “save up to $5.15,” but its eligible 2-lb product displayed $4.99. We used $4.99 for the basket calculation rather than treating the maximum advertised savings as the item price.
Verify the item detail after selecting Holland Point in the official Publix weekly ad. Search the exact product name; matching the brand alone is not enough.
The smaller box is not always the better deal
The same fruit-snack promotion includes multiple package sizes. For example, the listing showed 6-pouch Gushers boxes and the specified 10-pouch Betty Crocker box at $3.29 each before BOGO.
Two 6-pouch boxes yield 12 portions for $3.29, or about 27.4¢ each. Two specified 10-pouch boxes yield 20 portions for the same amount, or about 16.5¢ each. These are different products, so preference and portion size still matter; compare what your family will actually eat.
For pretzels, divide the large bag at home using containers you already own. Four pounds of apples may be more than you want for one day, so plan school lunches or snacks for the rest. Buying more food than you will use erases the benefit of a promotion.
BOGO rules change when you cross state lines
Publix’s official savings FAQ says some states allow a single BOGO item at half price, while others require both items. We used full two-item pairs here so the arithmetic does not depend on a single-item discount.
For a Florida road trip—or a stop in another Southeastern state—select that store and read its offer. Do not carry a Georgia price screenshot into another market and expect an identical total. Other multi-buy promotions can require the full advertised quantity.
If you also have a digital coupon
Digital coupons require a Club Publix account, clipping the offer and identifying the account at checkout. This basket does not require an additional digital offer, and no coupon savings have been subtracted.
Under the coupon policy, a manufacturer coupon can be paired with either a Publix or accepted competitor coupon, subject to terms, but not all three. A manufacturer digital coupon cannot be stacked with a manufacturer paper coupon on the same item. Match size, quantity and expiration date.
No item-specific quantity cap was displayed in the three offer details reviewed. That does not mean unlimited purchases: Publix reserves the right to limit quantities. Online delivery or pickup may have different pricing and fees; this article is not a delivery-cart quote.
Turn a sale into a useful outing plan
Pack a small portion for the outing and leave the rest at home. Treat fruit-flavored snacks as a sweet extra, not a replacement for the apples or a proper meal. Check labels against your family’s preferences and restrictions before choosing varieties.
Make the list before entering the store: one fruit, one crunchy snack and an optional treat. If you already have two of those, skip them. A smaller receipt beats a larger collection of “savings.”
